I think this is a good picture to represent the Great Depression for many reasons. For example, the house appears to be in bad shape. Jult look at the rocking chair. I'm sure no one can even sit in it anymore. Both of these things represent the Great Depression because there is no money to fix them up. Also, the people have bad clothing and look like they should be farming. My guess is, is that they cannot afford new clothes or tools to farm with. Last but not least, if you just look at the African American's faces. They look very troubled, like something needs to be done but nothing can be done. So instead they are just sitting on their deck pondering.
